Program Overview

What is Ignite Achievers and how does the program work?

Ignite Achievers is a high school research program designed for ambitious students who want to strengthen their college admissions profile. We match students with research-active university professors who guide them step-by-step in developing an original research paper. Our structured process combines live mentorship sessions, guided research, and professional feedback, helping students gain real university-level academic experience before graduating high school.

How is Ignite Achievers different from other high school research programs?

We focus on personalized university research mentorship with professors who are actively publishing in their fields. Unlike many programs, we offer group research tracks, hybrid research programs with group and one-one-one option and full one-on-one mentorship. Students also have the option to receive support in publishing their work in peer-reviewed journals or presenting at conferences.

What makes research mentorship valuable for high school students?

Mentorship from a research-active professor helps students learn how to think critically, solve complex problems, and communicate ideas effectively. These skills are highly valued in Ivy League applications and other competitive university admissions. Students also leave the program with tangible achievements, including a research paper and potential publication.

Is the program online, on-campus, or hybrid?

Currently, all Ignite Achievers research programs are conducted online and accessible to students worldwide. You can choose from three formats:

  • Ignite Group Research Program – 12 weeks of live group sessions with a research-active university professor.
  • Ignite Hybrid Research Program – 5 weeks of group sessions followed by 5 weeks of personalized 1-on-1 mentorship.
  • Ignite 1-on-1 Research Program – 12 weeks of fully customized, one-on-one research mentorship.

We are also developing a summer intensive program to be held on-campus at a partner university (details to be announced soon).

What subjects or research topics can I choose?

Students can choose from a wide variety of Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, STEM, Humanities, Economics, Genetics, Social Sciences, and more

Can I do interdisciplinary research combining multiple fields?

Yes. Many students work on interdisciplinary research projects, such as merging computer science with biology or combining economics with environmental studies.

Do I need to have a research topic before applying?

No. You can apply without a defined topic. Our admissions team and professors will help you choose a research direction during the research programs.

How long is the program and how many sessions are included?

Most programs run for 10–12 weeks, with weekly mentorship sessions. The exact length depends on whether you choose group, hybrid, one-on-one, or summer research programs.

The Ignite Group Research Program is a 12-week course where small cohorts work with a research-active professor in live, interactive sessions. The Ignite 1-on-1 Program offers 12 weeks of fully personalized mentoring focused on your individual project. The Ignite Hybrid Program combines both, 5 weeks in a group setting followed by 5 weeks of one-on-one sessions.
