High School Research Programs & Mentorship

Designed for students who want structured research training with expert support, the Ignite Research Programs offer two tracks:

Ignite Group Research Program

What it is: A 10-week online research mentorship program for high school students conducted entirely in small groups of 3–6 participants. Guided by university professors, students collaborate on research design, academic writing, data analysis, and presentation to produce a high-quality, publishable research paper.

Who should apply: Ideal for students who value collaboration, structured learning, and personalized guidance within a supportive, community-focused research environment.

Outcome: An academic paper with publication potential and a professor’s recommendation letter for college applications.

 Scholarships and financial aid available.

Ignite Hybrid Research Program

What it is: A 10-week hybrid research program for high school students that blends small-group learning with one-on-one mentorship from university professors. The first five weeks cover research fundamentals through interactive seminars, while the last five weeks refine your project into a publication-ready research paper.

Who should apply: Students who want the camaraderie of group seminars but also crave individualized attention to develop a polished research paper and presentation.

Outcome: An academic paper with publication potential and a professor’s recommendation letter for college applications.

Scholarships and financial aid available.

Ignite 1-on-1 Research Program

What it is: A 10-week personalized research mentorship program where high school students work one-on-one with a university professor. Your mentor tailors a learning plan to your academic interests and guides you through literature review, research methodology, data collection, and writing a publishable research paper.

Who should apply: Students seeking individual guidance and looking to develop an in-depth research project in a specific academic field.

Outcome: An academic paper with publication potential and a professor’s recommendation letter for college applications.

Scholarships and financial aid available.

Publication Support for Research Papers and Conferences

Completing a high school research program is just the beginning of your academic journey. If you want to turn your project into a published research paper or present it at a prestigious conference, Ignite Achievers offers an optional publication support service. For an additional fee, you will receive professional guidance on editing and formatting your manuscript, identifying appropriate peer-reviewed journals and conferences and navigating the submission and review process.

While publication acceptance cannot be guaranteed, having a published paper or conference presentation as a high school student can truly make you stand out.

Publishing research demonstrates initiative, intellectual curiosity and the ability to contribute new knowledge, qualities that college admissions officers value in research driven applications.

Our optional publication support service helps transform your project into a tangible accomplishment that strengthens your college applications and showcases your research mentorship for high school students.

Ignite Achievers is committed to helping ambitious students reach the next level by turning their high school research into publishable work.

Program Schedule: Quarterly Cohorts and Year Round Enrollment

Group and Hybrid Programs follow a quarterly cohort model.

New cohorts begin in January, April, July and October, aligning with winter, spring, summer and fall terms

Each Group Research Program runs for 12 weeks and each Hybrid Program runs for 10 weeks.

This structure allows you to plan ahead and join at a convenient time, like a summer research program during your break.

All Hybrid and Group Research Programs combine live interactive sessions with independent study and peer collaboration, giving you the flexibility of online learning plus the accountability of a cohort environment.

The 1-on-1 Research Program is available year round with rolling admissions.

You can start your personalised research mentorship whenever you are ready, whether during the school year or over the summer.

Regardless of your enrollment date, you will embark on a rigorous research project under the guidance of an expert mentor, culminating in a college level research paper.

This flexible scheduling ensures that whenever inspiration strikes or your schedule opens up, a high quality research program for high school students is ready to help you ignite your potential.
